Global warming is a worldwide crisis and it is high time that businesses start doing their bit. Incorporating our additive in your plastic products is a sure way to demonstrate your company’s commitment to preserving the environment.
Biodegradable Future helps to create a tailored environmentally friendly solution for your business, while adding value to your products and keeping costs low. Using our additives in your operations can help your brand recognition, sales revenue and accelerate the biodegradation of plastics in landfill, soil and ocean environments.
We can proudly say that our additives are the best biodegradable and commercially viable product on the market when comparing the different types of biodegradable plastics i.e. oxo – degradable, PLA and our additives.
Oxo- degradable products are known to fragment into small pieces, and will not degrade entirely unless they come into contact with sunlight, moisture, and oxygen. In short, this product needs very particular conditions to be effective and, even when it does, will not disintegrate completely making it hazardous for animals mistaking it for food.
PLA is produced using Genetically Modified Organism and requires the use of pesticides during the farming phase. The product is said to be compostable, but can only be composted in commercial or industrial facilities, which are not readily found, meaning scalability becomes an issue.

* Biodegradation rates of Bio Future's additives -treated plastic materials measured according to the ASTM D5511 test method. Tests are generally conducted using 20% to 30% solids content; solids content in naturally wetter landfills range from 55% to 65%, while the driest landfills may reach 93%. Actual biodegradation rates will vary in biologically-active landfills according to the type of plastic used, the product configuration, and the solid content, temperature and moisture levels of the landfill.
